I have always loved working with the ABLE/GED Job Training Program. Assisting Adult Learners with Literacy and preparing for Job Training is very rewarding for me. When I retire from full time employment, I want to give back in this area. There are still so many Adults who are struggling with Basic Literacy Skills.
ladyjustice, thanks for starting a discussion thread! Many others on the community have expressed an interest in volunteering and I look forward to seeing their input, as well!
I volunteer for Leader Dogs for the Blind in Rochester, MI. I am a volunteer puppy raiser. I raise Labrador Retriever puppies from 7 weeks to 1 year old when they return to the school to become the eyes of a non-sighted person. Currently hosting my 17th Lab named Bryce, she is 9 months old. Very rewarding.
This is a very rewarding opportunity.
Thank you for sharing.
