Our residence has three levels. Now it has five telephone handsets (until Monday there were two). I am 69. My brother in NC is 68. He suggested naming each handset so we know what room it is - in case we are using the intercom feature. That sounds like a good idea.
Main; basement; Master; Guest; Office (the latter three are on the upper level). Since my typing is in the basement, it is nice now to have a handset which is always on this level. While we had two, I always needed to remember to carry a handset down with me from the main level (base) and then remember to carry it back when I was turning out the lights. Now the basement feels like I have my own Area Code.
