    Social Security: death and disability

Does any Social security person out there know if I am collecting my deceased husband's social security, am I able to collect disability in addition, if I am qualified to do so?

You can only collect one social security at a time.  It may benefit you to collect on your husband's social security now, let yours build up over time, then change over to your own at age 70.  If you are not your full retirement age now however, you will collect your husband's social security at a reduced rate.  You can find all this information on the social security web site.
