You may be familiar with the initiative from Huff/Post 50 and The Today Show called 50 over 50, which "highlight[s] 50 individuals who have made radical changes to their lives, for the better, after turning 50." People were encouraged to nominate others (or themselves) to be featured on the Huffington Post and The Today Show. The 50 selected people were broken down by the ways in which they had made changes to their lives, including following your passion, career reinvention, health and wellness, giving back and risk takers.

I love this concept and thought it would be a great exercise for our community--but with our own spin:

Have you reinvented yourself in retirement--or as you work towards retirement?

Have you taken on a new hobby or learned a new skill? Have you gone back to school--auditing classes or working towards a new degree? Have you become more active--participated in your first race or joined a rec league? Have you started a new job or become more active in volunteering?

We would love to hear your story! Please send me an email at MyRetirementHelp@tiaa-cref.org sharing your experience.

This will be a great way to share your experiences and for others to get some ideas about making some changes in their own lives! It will also provide an opportunity for us to learn more about each other.

I can't wait to hear from you!
